Recycle
The Town of Smithfield has a contract with Moody's/AVES for residential recycling services. Please contact Meredith Marchant at 365-4200 or CLICK HERE to request a container. The Town will provide each resident with one 96 gallon container. Extra containers may be rented from Moody's/AVES for $5.50 per month. Pick up will be once a month on the first Wednesday of the month for residents on the West side of Cypress Creek Bridge and the third Wednesday of the month for residents on the East side of the Cypress Creek Bridge.
Acceptable recyclables include: aluminum and metal cans, cardboard (must be broken down, no wax), catalogs, glass, junk mail, newspaper, office paper, plastics (i.e. drinking bottles, milk jugs, butter tubs and lids - no bottle lids, baggies or straws).
In a effort to provide opportunties for businesses and residents of apartments to recycle or for those that have an overflow of recycling, the town has placed a recycling dumpster at the corner of James Street and Washington Street.
If you have questions about acceptable items or recycling services, please contact Moody's/AVES at 357-9997.
