Sec. 2-237.      Appointment and terms of members; filling of vacancies.

   The members of the planning commission shall be appointed by the town council. The term of the councilmanic member shall correspond with his tenure of office, unless the town council, at its first regular meeting each year, appoints another to serve as its representative. The other members shall be appointed for staggered terms of four years. Any vacancy in membership shall be filled by appointment by the town council; and such appointment, in the case of an appointed member, shall be for the unexpired term.
