The Bicycle Patrol provides
an added dimension to
regular patrol activities.
Bicycle Officers receive
specialized training and are
provided with specially
equipped bicycles. Bicycle
Patrol Officers can approach
areas relatively undetected
and maneuver in places
inaccessible to
automobiles. The Bicycle
Officers will often patrol
shopping centers, parade
routes, high crime, or
problem areas where
congestion may hamper the
rapid response of other
types of emergency vehicles.
The Bicycle Patrol is
dedicated to community
involvement and providing
community related services.
