Officer Jones served 21 years in the United States Marines before retiring at the end of 2004.  Protecting and serving was his mission in the Marines.  Having done many deployments to foreign lands Officer Jones, looks forward to establishing roots in the community.  Officer Jones serves the Smithfield Community and Smithfield Police Department with the same amount of Pride, Integrity and Commitment that he gave the Marine Corps.

Officer Jones in his off time likes to fish, play golf, play sports and watch NASCAR.  Officer Jones also divides his off time with his kids who live with their mother Merna Jones of Suffolk.  Officer Jones coaches football in the Pop Warner league for the Suffolk Titans where his son plays and his two girls cheerlead.
