The motorcycle patrol unit
of Smithfield Police
Department has grown in 2005
to include four officers,
with anticipated increases
in the coming years.
The motorcycle patrol is
most commonly used for
parades, assisting other
agencies, funeral escorts,
community relations, and
traffic enforcement.
