At 11 am on Friday, 11 November at the Isle of Wight Veterans Memorial on North Church Street in Smithfield a commemoration to honor all veterans of our USA's armed forces will be held. This is sponsored by the Smithfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8545, assisted by the Isle of Wight Parks and Recreation Department and the American Legion Post 49. The event features an address by Col. Dennis Arinello, USMC (retired), and the Smithfield High School Band, JROTC and Chorus students.
