Bring your lunch box for a session to hear the history of Army transporation. This lecture will discuss the different modes of transportation - boat, rail, ground and air - and how they have changed over time to meet the changing needs of the Army. From the Conestoga wagons of the Revolutionary War to patrol boats in Vietnam and the armored trucks in Iraq and Afghanistan, you will learn the importance of the fact that Nothing Happens until Something Moves. Our speaker Alisha Hamel is the director at the U.S. Army Transportation Museum at Fort Eustis. She is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and was a transporter during Desert Storm in the 93rd Transportation Movement Control Battalion.
