Upcoming Holiday Festivities

Saturday, December 14thThe Evening Mistletoe Market will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The following streets will be closed from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.: Main Street from its intersection with North and South Church Streets to its intersection with Underwood Lane for the market.

 

    Saturday, December 21st – Smithfield Kiwanis Santa Breakfast at the Smithfield Center from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  Tickets for this event are $5 per person and children 2 and under are free.  Tickets can be purchased at the Smithfield Center or online @ the Kiwanis Facebook page.

 

    Saturday, December 21st – Annual Smithfield Christmas Parade @ 10:30 a.m.

The following streets will be closed to on-street parking, from 7:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade with the exception of Main Street as indicated below.

Cedar Street at its intersection with Underwood Lane toward Windsor Castle Park

Underwood Lane from its intersection with Cedar Street to its intersection with Main Street

North Mason Street from its intersection with Main Street to its intersection with Grace Street

Grace Street from its intersection with North Mason Street to its intersection with James Street

Main Street from its intersection with Underwood Lane to its intersection with Church Street (closes at 10:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade)

 

The following streets or portions of streets will be closed to traffic from 10:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade.

Main Street from the former Little’s Supermarket parking lot to its intersection with Church Street;

North Mason Street from its intersection with Main Street to its intersection with Grace Street

Grace Street from its intersection with North Mason Street to its intersection with James Street

Cedar Street from its intersection with Underwood Lane to its intersection with Jericho Road will be one way traffic from 7:30 a.m. to the conclusion of the parade.

Everyone's patience will be appreciated, as there will be very limited vehicular traffic access for property owners in the above areas, only as authorized by the Chief of Police.

ADDITIONAL NOTICE:  Street vendors are asked to refrain from selling noise makers due to the public safety factor related to the horses.  Parade sponsors will monitor and enforce this restriction during the parade.
