Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia, (1950), as amended, that the Town Council of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Town Council in the council chambers in The Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church Street, meeting room A, Smithfield, Virginia, on Tuesday,   August 2, 2016 at 7:30 p.m., to consider the amendment and revision of certain provisions of the Town’s Zoning Ordinance.  The proposed revisions and amendments of the Zoning Ordinance are required as a result of changes to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act.
