The Newcomer's Guide is designed to help ease your transition into your new home and life here in Isle of Wight County. Residents now have the ability to make payments online for Personal Property and Real Estate Taxes! Please note that online payments for business licenses, vehicle tags, parking tickets, and other such fees are not available at this time.

Hiding in the Park - Windsor Castle ParkThe Town of Smithfield has beauty all around whether you are strolling downtown or enjoying one of our parks. Windsor Castle Park has so much to offer from walking trails to kayak rentals, there is even a place for your dog to enjoy. If fishing is your interest, we have great fishing piers at Windsor Castle Park and Clontz Park. Looking for a place to hold a Special Event? We have outdoor venues and a beautiful indoor venue which will make your event picture perfect. History is all around in our beautiful community from our museum with the world’s oldest ham to historic walking tours of Main and Church Street.
