Garbage removal is assessed on the Real Estate Tax bill and sent in the spring of each year.
Rates are: $87.12 per year.
Information:
All homes in the corporate limits are assigned 1 container. Service is by Bay Disposal.
The container goes with the home and not the resident.
Whomever owns the home pays for the container, and not the renter.
The container is left behind and stays with the house when anyone moves out.
There are times when people move in and there is not a container on site, at that time please call Kathy Bew-Jones at 757-365-4200.
If a homeowner would like an additional container, they will have to set up an account with Bay for this container.
