The Smithfield Citizens Police Academy offers a fantastic opportunity for residents and workers in the Town of Smithfield to gain insight into the daily operations of their police department.
These classes help participants understand various aspects of law enforcement, including procedures, responsibilities, demands, personnel, equipment, policies, and laws.
Topics covered in the classes range from criminal law and forensics to patrol operations and investigations. Additionally, attendees may have the chance to tour the County Courthouse and go on a ride-along with an SPD officer.
